The Sunday Refill (15/10/23)
Seven up...
1) What is Manifestation and does it work? - If your world is anything like mine, then the language of 'manifestation' has become really commonplace. The Table Talk podcast team Jack & Graham interview actor Rhoda Hunter about why she was drawn to the New Age movement and her journey to becoming a Christian.
2) Check in on those around you - Powerful video from Norwich City FC for World Mental Health Day. Make sure you watch it 'til the end.
3) Rico Tice, Glen Scrivener & Nate Morgan-Locke on re-launch of 3-2-1 - Glen Scrivener's 3-2-1 evangelistic resource is being rebooted and relaunched, so to celebrate he chatted with fellow Speak Life team member Nate as well as evangelist Rico Tice from Christianity Explored. Lots of evangelism nuggets here.
4) Statement from eleven C of E Bishops - 'Dissenting' statements like this don't happen especially often in the Church of England, because bishops place a huge emphasis on their 'collegiality', i.e. their sense of togetherness. All the more reason to sit up and listen when a bunch of them dissent against their group. This has been followed by carefully-worded emails to their own dioceses such as this one.
5) Pastor Appreciation Month: Free eBooks from Crossway - Is 'Pastor Appreciation Month' a thing? Crossway say it is - and they're offering four free eBooks to all pastors.
6) 5 Reasons Gen Z Is Primed for Spiritual Renewal - Helpful encouragement to keep creatively and compassionately and courageously holding out the gospel of Jesus Christ,
7) Tomato misses out on fruit salad call up again - For something a bit different, can't beat a bit of Rob Morgan's 90 second Twitter monologues. West Ham's James Ward-Prowse would appreciate this one...
