Seven up...

1) Christianity’s big PR problem - Lauren Windle looks at a number of recent high profile media portrayals of 'Christian scandals' - and we might respond.

2) God for the Instagram generation - Alongside the narrative above, there's definitely also another strand in our media at the moment: that of younger people rediscovering the Christian faith, including those in the public eye. It's interesting to see the Daily Mail take on this in the link above, and The Telegraph also focus in on Olympian swimmer Adam Peaty and his engagement to Holly Ramsay.

3) Cage-Stage Comerism - John Mark Comer's books are probably some of the most read Christian books in the UK in the last couple of years (e.g. The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry and Practicing the Way), especially amongst those under 50. I was really helped by the former and have been enjoying chewing over the latter. But why is he so popular? This is a perceptive take on what Comer's work might be capturing that has been otherwise neglected - and what we might need to not let go of as we receive his emphasis.

4) The Allure and Danger of WitchTok - A closer theological and cultural look at the #WitchTok trend on TikTok, a subculture where users share videos about witchcraft, spells, tarot readings, astrology, and other occult practices.

5) Autumn Playlist - Thanks to the Rabbit Room for this playlist for the season. And special thanks for not calling it 'Fall'...

6) The Pastoral Prayer: Examples and Inspirations - In many independent or baptist churches, 'the pastoral prayer' is common place, an important opportunity for a church pastor to pray for their people with their people. Challies reflects on this practice, as well providing some examples.

7) The 50 Best Breakfast Cereals Of All Time - For something a bit different, it's admittedly an American list, but a fun round-up. But did I miss Grape Nuts, the greatest cereal of all time?! (My birthday is 7 December...)
