Albert Mohler, a pastor and theologian over in the States, has written a helpful piece reflecting on the tragic events of last Thursday night in Aurora, Colorado, which have been dominating our media this past weekend.

As he says, ‘the inevitable media swarm focuses on the data first — the who, what, when, and where questions. Then they, along with the public at large, begin to ask the why question. That is always the hard one.’

It’s a fairly short piece just beginning to unpack how we think about such tragic events with a Christian worldview – but it is a worthy read. You can read it here.

And a slightly different but stunning and personal tale straight from the hospital beds of Aurora, with much to thank God for, can be found here.
